RMB (formerly Business for Social Responsibility Upper Midwest) will soon be holding its annual elections for Board of Directors. Board members enjoy a highly collegial working relationship and have the opportunity to learn and lead in the innovative field of corporate social responsibility.

  • Become a recognized leader in corporate social responsibility at a time when many exciting changes are occurring;
  • Develop rewarding relationships with business and community leaders in Minnesota and across the nation; and
  • Help shape RMB's focus and activities around issues that matter to you.

Any current member is welcome to put forward his or her name for consideration as a member of the board of RMB. Interested candidates should send a paragraph about why they want to serve on the board and what they feel they will be able to contribute. (Non-members are not eligible to serve on the board.)

Expectations of Board Members

  1. Committed to the mission and vision of RMB
  2. Committed to involve company, staff, resources, and/or networks in RMB
  3. Attend most RMB events
  4. Attend 75% of monthly board meetings
  5. Take on one major responsibility and/or serve a subcommittee
  6. Average 2-3 hours per week on RMB, with spurts of more intensity
  7. Make 1-3 year commitment (terms are for one year and are renewable)
